Cole Werner was first introduced to drifting when he went to an XDC competition near Seattle in 2011. It was that same year that he experienced Formula Drift for the first time and ever since he has been hooked.
In 2012-2013, Cole picked up his first Nissan 240sx and was at every single track event available. He progressed in the local scene quickly after making his car competitive and tandem legal. As his skills progressed, Cole decided to test himself and run with the big boys in Formula Drift ProAm series at Evergreen Speedway in 2015. Because of car issues he was only able to run one round. It was then that he decided to dedicate his time to being a spotter for Matt Vankirk, the 2015 EVD ProAm champion.
For 2016, Cole is building a brand new chassis and is planning on running the full ProAm series along with many other local events. While he plans on being competitive he also wants to have fun and enjoy being behind the wheel with the support of his family and sponsors.
