Shawn started drifting 5 years ago in Seoul, South Korea with a Hyundai Genesis coupe. He competed in the DDGT drift competition and has been sponsored by Hankook Tire since 2011. During his 2012 season he was on track to place first place but the Drift Demo Run was his last race before he immigrated to the US. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to finish the season.
Since moving to the United States, Shawn has been competing in some way in Evergreen Drift events. Last year he managed to finish third place overall in the Grassroots Championship.
His goal for 2016 is to compete in all ProAm rounds (this includes both DriftCon events) and place high enough to earn his Formula Drift Pro2 license. Keep an eye on this page for updates about his build and upgrades to his FR-S.
