Despite being one of the youngest competitors in EVD this year (he’s still in high school) Arie Abrams’ abilities as a driver should not be underestimated. With his aggressive style of drifting he tends to push the limits of most cars he drives.
His SR20DET-powered 240sx is an extremely capable car. A turbo 4 cylinder is a rare choice for an engine these days (even for ProAm) but Arie hopes to inspire others with the simplicity of his setup. With a strong backing from Portland Speed Industries and former FD driver Kyle Pollard serving as his crew chief, Arie has years of knowledge and experience already in his program.
In light of the serious playing field, Arie is taking a relaxed approach to ProAm this year. His main goal is to refine his skills as a driver in his rookie season. Arie still plans to push hard with the other drivers but he is mostly happy to be a part of the series and compete at a higher level.
He gets the most satisfaction with putting on a great show for the fans but he also tries to have a friendly and helpful attitude towards competing drivers on and off the track. As Arie becomes more comfortable and works out the kinks with his new setup he hopes to portray more of his personality through his driving.
