On Eddy’s seventh lap of his first time drifting in early 2014 he totaled his drift car. While this would have stopped many others it didn’t prevent him from continuing to chase his dream. He bought another chassis and swapped everything over in 3 months and was back out on track. He has continued to excel in the sport and really dial in his chase game. He loves to get in on people’s doors and fire up the crowd.
He got introduced to the sport when he could hear the Formula Drift guys practicing from his house in Monroe, WA. He went to one event and he was hooked. After he wrecked his car, he started setting goals for himself and has achieved most of them.
He chose a Mustang chassis because he has always loved Mustangs and was familiar with what it was like to be behind the wheel of one. He knew that he was going to have to get some steering angle for it so he got contacted Mike Goddard and had him help him out in that department.
Recently he decided to fully commit to ProAm for 2017 so he purchased a 2004 Pontiac GTO. Seeing as the car already came from the factory with an LS engine (which makes good power in stock form) he knew that getting more power out of it would be a breeze.
Eddy plans on attending all of the big events in 2016 and getting familiar with the new chassis and be ready to attack in 2017. So far, Eddy is pleased with the chassis the one time that he has driven in in stock form. DriftCon will be his first outing since more serious work has been done to it.
