Patrick has had a love for automotive racing since he was young. He started racing at Evergreen Speedway in the Hornet division at age 16 and has been racing ever since. He began to convert his Hornet car into a drift car starting in 2013. While building the car he would occasionally go to the local Open Drift events to get used to the changes as well as practice driving.
He competed at his first event in 2015 at ProAm round 1 and made it into top 16. He also competed at NissanFest and made it into the Top 8. His last event of 2015 was Grassroots round 1 when shortly after qualifying his engine car threw a rod.
After last year’s Grassroots round 1 event Patrick completely built the motor, assembled a wiring harness from scratch, and upgraded to an engine management that allows him run flex fuel. He also painted the car with the help of ALM Automotive.
Patrick’s plans for 2016 are to compete in both DriftCon events as well as ProAm rounds 2-5.
