Aaron jumped into competitive drifting as soon as he could afford to throw together a Nissan 240sx. He ended up finishing in fifth place in the 2012 EVD Grassroots series his rookie year. Ever since then it’s been a bumpy road in a push for ProAm.
Over the last few years Aaron has been plagued with some unimaginable bad luck. Last year a fire broke out in his engine bay during a practice day before DriftCon 2015. It happened as a result of a melted brake reservoir and failed fire extinguisher. This put him out of the season and almost resulted in him losing the car. This is just one of the many things that’s happened to him during his drift career.
The melted ProAm car was parted out and the shell went to a new home. A new build with all the experiences and lessons learned is nearing completion. It is being built with hopes of winning next year’s EVD ProAm series and him getting his Formula Drift Pro2 license.
Hoping to have killed his bad luck, Aaron is using his street car for competition where he can, despite it not being that competitive. The AJDrift team is excited and eager to finish the new competition car and drive for blood. Aaron has been a little disheartened from his new career preventing him from being able to make this season with the new car but he refuses to take any shortcuts building it.
Make sure to check in for new media partnership, and completion of the new competition car! We have a lot of lost time to make up for!
